In search of patients of Pseudo-Best macular disease for the start-up of a scientific research project
Macula Retina (@macularetina) patient association (Spain) is looking for patients of Pseudo-vitelliform macular dystrophy (Pseudo Best macular disease). This eye disorder, also known as Pseudo Best Vitelliform Macular Dystrophy or Adult-onset Foveomacular Vitelliform Dystrophy, is characterized by atrophy of the retinal pigment epithelium. Affected people have normal vision at the beginning, followed by decreased central visual acuity and distorted vision (metamorphopsia). The purpose is to make a list of patients to support a research project in which doctors study the mentioned disease.
